The sound of winter

The sound of winter

Here at The Bothy the summer is coming to an end, evidenced by wind and weather!  On taking Scamp out last night, the sound of geese in flight over us is a further indication that preparations for the winter are underway.  Geese are so fascinating: how they fly in order, each taking a turn leading and each getting the chance to fly in the shelter of another.  We could learn so much from them! So whether it’s tidying the garden, ordering the oil, or chopping logs,  take a lesson from the geese and make sure you’ve got a cosy log burning stove to keep you cosy over the winter!
