One of the great things about the Bothy Garden is that no matter what time of year there is something on show. The collection of autumn flowering heather is looking good today.
It’s such a contrast to the golden copper of the leaves on the surrounding trees and the beech trees across the Bronnie Burn.
Although it’s windy today, it’s keeping the rain away and I guess that provides a great opportunity for heading out to clear up some of the leaves and give some of the conifers a haircut for the winter. 49 conifers in the surrounding gardens and not even half way yet!!! But it’s a great place to be before we head into the last couple of months of the year – it seems the growing season is just continuing this year but at least the grass seems to have stopped growing.
