This photograph was taken on 7th April with all the hope of days which would be both warmer and longer. One of the great things about the North East, or in fact anywhere in the North of Scotland is the long light nights which at their peak means that it’s hardly dark.
I guess it’s the counterpoint to the very short days of winter when it feels like it is dark from one weekend to the next. So, heralding spring are these beautiful flowers, a sign of something to come. In my view the colour of spring is very definitely yellow… may the sunshine follow!
