Snow and Fireworks

Fireworks in a clear sky

Fireworks in a clear sky

Today was the first Sunday in Advent and in case we were in any doubt that Christmas is around the corner, the snow arrived, as did the fireworks for the lighting on the Christmas Lights in Pitmedden.

So first thing it was out with the snow shovel clearing the paths and drives for the visitors in The Bothy, and the visitors we had staying over last night in our home.Any excuse to get out and play in the snow… although in a few weeks time the novelty will have worn off.

The fireworks this year had a clear blue sky for background and delighted all – with the exception of Scamp who immediately ducks for cover as far under her bed as she can get!  It then takes some persuading to get her to eat her tea and go outside.  This is one of the days of the year when you can be sure that she will make use of the first opportunity and head back inside!  Not such a bad idea with the pull of a warm cosy house and something warm and soothing to drink.
