Who would believe looking at the photo on the left that British Summer Time starts in a week?! Last Monday saw quite a pile of snow fall in Pitmedden, so much so that our stove fitter decided to work on late in case he couldn’t get back the next day. Over the week we’ve had snow most days although it has reduced with each day. Unfortunately the temperature seemed to reduce daily too until it was freezing cold by Friday.
Today we are back to looking at grass which is green and black road and hoping that we are finally seeing the last of the snow for a while. However, now the wood burning stove is working and we’re eagrely testing its effectiveness, we can see why our Guests love the stove in the Bothy bedroom. There is nothing quite like a living fire to make you appreciate the warmth on a cold night…. and yet I’m still optimistically hoping and waiting for the arrival of British Summer Time next weekend!
