Last week I decided to take Scamp up the fields at the top of the village along the nature walk. What a change since a few weeks ago – the crops now harvested and the ground soft and muddy reminding me that the next time I come Wellies may be more useful than what I was wearing.
It was a grey day when taking a camera may have seemed pointless. However, on the way back I found this beautiful toadstool which was reflecting the clear light. I guess I was the only person who say it that day, as it was certainly not the kind of day you would immediately think about walking.
It’s a great reminder of finding beauty in unlikely places, and the delights that await us if we will just get up and get out even on the grey days. So with the coming of the cooler, wetter weather – put on your wellies and don’t forget your camera!
