I always like to keep an eye on what is going on in and around Pitmedden, especially for our visitors to the Bothy. I was up at Pitmedden Gardens having a bite to eat for lunch yesterday and noticed that they will be holding their annual Apple Sunday event on the 27th September this year.
It is a great afternoon out for all of the family to take part in. You will have the chance to buy their famous apples and pears and there will be music and entertainment on throughout the afternoon from 1.30-4.30pm. Some of the bands that are playing again this year include the Ythan Fiddlers, Bothy Ballads, Aberdeen Gaelic Choir, Ugie and Tarves Folk Club. The children can also get involved and take part in some ranger activities.
They day runs from 11am – 5pm so if you are in the area and fancy listening to some music or even sampling some of the delicious home baking, why not head along and have some fun! Usual admission prices apply but it is free entry to the apple sale.
