The colour of Autumn

AutumnAutumn aThis week I feel is a week that deserves to have two pictures on the blog!  This just sums up Autumn for me!  The thick green leaves that the big chestnut tree at the end of our drive had a few weeks ago have gone and been replaced by these wonderful gold leaves.  I love admiring them from our living room as they add so much vibrancy to the garden.

A few weeks ago, we were enjoying some wonderful autumnal sunshine with temperatures nearly at 20 degrees! This week has continued to see some sunshine but there is a much colder feel in the air and I even had to scrape the ice off my car this morning!

The spring bulbs have been planted around the garden now for next year but for now, I am going to continue to admire the magnificent colours in the garden and there is nothing better than doing this while reading my book in front of our log fire!
