Gordon Highlanders Museum

Gordon-Highlander’s-Museum[1]This is a picture of the Gordon Highlanders Museum which is rated as the top thing to do in Aberdeen on Trip Advisor!  It is the only Visit Scotland 5-Star attraction in the city and is certainly worthy of a visit if you haven’t been before.

The Museum is located in the West End of Aberdeen and it was originally the home of leading Scottish Artist Sir George Reid.  The Museum tells the 200 year old story of the Gordon Highlanders from the Napoleonic Wars to the present day.  Full of wonderful displays and films, this is certainly a great day out for the whole family.  Children can try on the uniforms and dress up, you can take a guided tour, enjoy the beautiful gardens or just grab a bite to eat in the tea room.  The museum is open daily from 10-4.30pm from Tuesday to Saturday.

A great place to go for a day out!
