Considering it’s rural location, The Bothy is easily accessible by car, train or plane.

By Car from the South

On arriving at Aberdeen keep on the A90 and follow the ring road right round the city.  You will eventually come to the roundabout at which you will turn left (the AECC will be signed straight ahead).  Continue on the A90 until you come to a roundabout where the left turn is signed B9000 signposted Pitmedden.  Stay on this road which becomes the B999 until you reach Pitmedden.  On entering the village and passing the 30mph sign take 2nd right signed Bothwell Terrace leading to Old Seton Village.  Follow the road along the side of the tennis courts, past the bowling green, and past some bungalows on the left following the road up round a tight left hand bend.  The Bothy is right in front of you.

By car from the North and West

Follow the A96 to Inverurie and then follow signs for Old Meldrum (B9170).  At Old Meldrum follow signs for Ellon, and take the A947.  Watch out for the A920 on the left signed Ellon.  Stay on this road until you come into Pitmedden.  Drive through the village and just before you leave the village turn left up the side of the tennis courts signed Bothwell Road leading to Old Seton Village.  Follow the road along the side of the tennis courts, past the bowling green, and past some bungalows on the left following the road up round a tight left hand bend. The Bothy is right in front of you.

By train

Pitmedden is accessible from Aberdeen (13 miles), Dyce (14 miles) and Inverurie (10 miles) Stations.  If travelling by train the owner is happy to help you with your onward travel arrangements.  There is a bus service from Pitmedden to Aberdeen, Inverurie and Ellon.

By plane

Pitmedden is only 14 miles from Aberdeen (Dyce) Airport.  If flying to Dyce the owner is happy to help you with your onward travel arrangements.

By bus

A number of City link bus services operate services to Aberdeen.  From the Bus Station you can take a bus to Pitmedden.  The bus stop is within easy walking distance of The Bothy.
